Changes in the SPIRIT programme team

New year 2024 brings some changes and new faces in the organisation of the SPIRIT project team.

Jari Lehtinen, the Programme Manager for SPIRIT at Borealis from its very start, will be leaving Borealis to carry on charity work in the area of nature reservation and biodiversity. Jaakko Tuomainen will take over Jari’s role as SPIRIT Programme Manager.

Until now, Auli Nummila-Pakarinen has driven the R&D theme focusing on the enablers for green transition (WP4) and is now retiring from Borealis, handing over the baton to Sanna Martin.

Ismo Savallampi has earlier taken over the leadership in the R&D theme renewable feedstock (WP1), and Mikko Rönkä continues to lead the CO2 reduction (WP3) theme.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Jari and Auli for their strong contribution and relentless work in the SPIRIT programme and wish best of success to Jaakko, Sanna and Ismo in their new roles.
